Crimson Creek Golf Course History
This beautiful 18 hole course in El Reno, Oklahoma is one of Central Oklahoma’s finest and most popular public municipal golf courses. This par 72 championship layout was re-designed by P.B. Dye, Jr. in 1998. We are proud of our excellent tradition in quality and excellence since the golf course first opened in the 1960’s as a 9 hole country club.
Conveniently located 1 mile north of I-40, Crimson Creek is adjacent to Lake El Reno which provides a beautiful backdrop for the golf course. The front 9 holes offer a traditional layout with tree lined fairways and undulating hills while the back 9 holes offer a links style feel with the final three holes wrapping around Lake El Reno.
The course layout is challenging enough to provide a positive experience for the avid golfer as well as the novice. The fairways are filled with rolling hills leading to the bent grass greens. Crimson Creek also features a practice facility that includes a putting green, pitching area and driving range.
